Stepping in to fill the substantial shoes of Mr. Mayrer, Gene's introduction into the band was both seamless and graceful. A veteran of the New Jersey clubs and bars, Gene is a rare combination of highly skilled & knowledgeable musician, energetic & enthusiastic collaborator, and humble & amiable band mate. With a somewhat more aggressive style and sound, Gene's presence has added a subtle spark to the band. Gene has, over the years, played with some of the hottest bands in New Jersey, including blues greats Naughty Milton, and his current main band, the incredible Nasty Ned & the Noo Dogs. In addition to his formidable bass skills, Gene also contributes lead & background vocals in the band, and is an accomplished xylophone player.

When he's not playing his instrument, Gene enjoys listening to music, beer, checking out bands, beer, satellite radio, beer, pizza, sky diving, croquet, badminton, polo, sumo wrestling, and beer.
