The Morningwood Brother's Auxilliary

was the brief amalgamation of The Morningwood Brothers Band

with the addition of a friend (Michael Gumeny), a sibling (Harvey's sister Teri),

and a spouse (Jeff's wife Fran), assembled for the sole purpose of this recording project.

~

The project in question was the recording of the XTC song "Then She Appeared"

for the XTC tribute MP3 CD titled "King For A Day".

The following is an all vocal version of that recording which I was tempted to submit

at the time for the tribute, but didn't. After recently revisiting this stuff, I thought it just might

be interesting enough to put here for folks to admire, or disparage, whichever the case may be.

Lest there be any doubt, I don't pretend that this was actually performed live without

instrumentation, it is merely a mix of all the vocal tracks without the music with any large gaps

of silence plucked out. It's interest lies mainly in illuminating the vocal arrangement, for which I'd take total

credit, except that I pilfered most of the ideas from Andy Partridge and Brian Wilson anyway!

Enjoy.
